Well, Hello to those who are just finding out about our show. We're another Doctor Who fan series. But not JUST another series. We have been working on this (What started out as a film) about a year and a half ago. As is with most fan productions, we have lives and jobs and mortgages that get in the way of our genius! I am excited to play a character that I have loved since childhood. I know that I'm not a "real" Doctor, as I don't work for the BBC, but I'm loving the role non the less, and am trying to put my best into the project. When I read for the part I was excited to see where the direction was headed, and it has evolved so much since even then. It was going to be a film, which has now turned into a proper series, with stories consisting of four episodes each. All of us who work on the project are big fans of the "Classic" series and plan to present our work in the same format. We suffered a big set back when our original actress who was playing Violet pulled out of the project. It set us behind as we had to recast her part and start over again. But in the end, we have a stronger project now. Being the Doctor, Hmmmm. Well, like I said, I want to do a good job in the role. Even though I'm not a "real" Doctor, I hope you will walk away from our film feeling that you have watched the good Doctor non the less. This series takes place about 500 years past the current series. I am the 13th Doctor, and I'm stranded on earth, in Las Vegas Nevada in 2008. The director and writer are great! They let me add-lib a LOT in the film. I was shooting a scene with Violet and decided to bring back the word Fantastic. The writer did not object (He was happy with the creative way I did it) so let it in. Our director is amazing! He is very talented and laid back. He allows us to be creative, but also keeps us on track. My two favorite Doctors are Tom Baker and Christopher Eccleston. They were great! In my performance, I try to put in a hint of them (As his old personalities tend to do) but still make him MY Doctor. I hope you like it.We have already garnered some great support. Very talented artists have helped us create props for us. Our money was created for us, the villain's scanner was created for and donated to us as well as a host of props for an Area 51 scene. We have also had a terrific location shoot at Saxbys Coffee in Henderson Nevada. (If you live here, please go support them).Well, I guess we'll call this a 1st post in the blog.
